THE DRYDEN HEARTLANDER SOLAR

Simple comfort. Low-maintenance reliability.

BUILT TO GRAB AND GO

We designed the Heartlander Solar to be the watch you reach for without thinking twice. It’s built for everyday life—durable enough for a weekend on the trail, but clean enough for the office. We intentionally skipped the busy 24-hour military tracks found on typical field watches, keeping the dial completely open and legible at a glance.

The goal was simple: offer the look and solid feel of our automatic series in a low-maintenance, budget-friendly package. As Gear Patrol put it, it completely "nails the grab-and-go concept." But a friendlier price doesn't mean we cut corners. The watch still features a scratch-resistant flat sapphire crystal, bright Swiss BGW9 Grade A lume, a screw-down crown, and a solid 100-meter water resistance rating. It is light, dependable, and ready for the wrist right out of the box.

6-Month Powered Reserve
Powered by a Japanese Epson solar movement that charges under any light source. Once fully charged, it runs for up to six months in total darkness with zero battery changes.

Classic 38mm Case
The 38mm case and slim 10.8mm thickness create a versatile fit for almost any wrist. It is engineered to sit flat, stay out of the way, and remain comfortable all day.

Assembled in Kansas City
Every single watch is hand-assembled locally in our Kansas City workspace. No shortcuts, just honest hometown assembly.

Always Ready. Inspired by Light.

As a photographer, my work is built around light. But for me, that connection is also deeply personal.

I grew up in Kansas, and for years I visited Grinter's Farm around Labor Day, a local spot famous for its incredible rows of sunflowers. I’ve always admired their beauty and how they supported wildlife, from pollen for the bees to seeds for the birds. But what always stuck with me was how they faithfully follow the light, from sunrise to sunset.

A solar-powered version of our bestselling Heartlander just felt like a natural extension of that story. It’s my nod to those Kansas roots and that powerful, simple idea. We paid direct tribute to that inspiration with a subtle sunflower motif on the crown and caseback.
